Newly plucked from tree
I’ve been on videography for almost 2 years. People see myself improving. Or not? Well, good to hear any of them.
Then 2010 is when I decided to make it a try on photography. Just to learn new things you know.
When I first called Epah, mentioning about me wanting an SLR too, he asked me.. “Ok which one do you want, Nikon? Canon?”.
I replied, “why did you ask me on those two? I want Sony!” Yeah pretty much because my videocam is Sony and how it impressed me so far make me want to stay with the brand. Well it’s the second reason anyway. The main reason would be I’m not that smart and I’m a slow learner in high-tech gadget. There are too many buttons on the DSLR body and once you hit the menu or function button there’s actually dozens more settings you have to master in order to get good picture.
Being sucks in this field made me thanking Sony for its quite latest front-line models specially made for beginners. They were three of them and I chose Alpha 380, one with double lens kit. It’s lighter and compact, less buttons, tilted LCD (haha.. gila lame reason2 ni), quick AF Live View system and catchy graphical user interface with built in help guide, hence easy to use. Well, there’s more features and you can google or wikipid it yourself.
Friends were like… “What.. err.. Sony? Seriously?”. Yeah I’ve made research beforehand that Sony is still a baby in developing its DSLR technology and I’m taking risk for it if I may say so. But then I look for pictures taken with Alpha on flickr and the quality was just as good as it is on other brands. That’s when I realised that knowledge and skill in photography are more important regardless of brand.
What I’m trying to say here is.. I am new, and I want you guys to help me developing my skills. Would you please teach me? Hehe..
So I just got the opportunity to test Oli’s performance once. And you may view the best 3 pictures I’ve taken on my photoblog, SNAP! Scroll down your mouse and click on SNAP. Your comments are most welcomed.
